ProSort can handle virtually any style of diverter, from push-offs and pop-ups to high-speed tilt-trays and shoe-sorts. ProSort's built-in capabilities cover a wide variety of device interfaces, including all makes of fixed position barcode readers, hand scanners, inline scales, inkjet printers, remote terminals, etc. ProSort's graphical operator interface, especially when combined with the intuitive feel of touch screen operation, provides your operator with total control and instantaneous knowledge of the sortation operation, yet in an uncomplicated manner. At his/her fingertips are continuously updated real-time displays, charts, graphical sorter layouts with "where-they-occurred" alarm lights, and tach gauges, etc. Setup and maintenance of sorter functions, barcode decoding methods, and data recording procedures is a simple touch selection process.
ProSort can handle the fastest sortation rates mechanically possible. Performance statistics, parcel counts, and by-parcel divert lists are continuously recorded on disk. Host communications is built in, using either a simple RS-232 protocol, TCP/IP socket connections, IBM client access, 3270 emulation, or alternatively an NFS or Novell LAN network interface. Intranet capabilities are available. ProSort software can be run on any standard PC hardware.
